Home health care means Services provided in the home by nurses, medical social workers, home health aides, and physical, occupational, and speech therapists. We cover home health care only if all of the following are true:.
Home health aide services means those tasks that are provided to a patient by a home health aide under the direction of a registered nurse or therapist. Health care service means that service offered or provided by health care facilities and health care providers relating to the prevention, cure, or treatment of illness, injury, or disease. Acute care hospital means any institution, place, building, or agency providing accommodations, facilities, and services over a continuous period of twenty-four hours or more for observation, diagnosis, or care of two or more individuals not related to the operator who are suffering from illness, injury, deformity, or abnormality, or from any other condition for which obstetrical, medical, or surgical services would be appropriate for care or diagnosis.
